CLIENT TESTIMONIALS.
Bringing a busy and emotional mind into the programme - layered with personality traits, motivational disposition, and stress from other corners of life - it became obvious early on that I needed structure. Organisation. Clarity. A framework to build from and progress with. That’s not something people with slightly chaotic minds tend to arrive at alone.
This wasn’t a strategy to run a faster 5K. This was about preparing for abstract, extreme targets - ones outside the comfort zone, where success isn’t easily measured. At that distance, success lies beyond the repeatable. The toolkit I gained here let me train for that - to project forward into the unknown and actually feel ready.
Through regular check-ins, journaling, and mental exercises, I developed confidence in my preparation. More than that: I learned how to extrapolate. To take what I already knew and apply it beyond anything I’d done before - distances I’d never seen, challenges I couldn’t quite visualise. And that skill now shows up in endurance, in business, in parenting, and in future personal growth.
The psychological work never felt like homework. It was directly rooted in my context - packaging what I already had in a way that stayed true to me, but carried me forward. Things like visualisation, the “pillars of success,” and even mantras during training became custom-fit. It all clicked.
Training under duress became the new normal - whether that meant hot yoga, parenting-induced sleep deprivation, or just life happening. I had tools to draw from in any state. Even the chaos could be turned into practice. And on race day, that meant I wasn’t improvising - I was just repeating what I’d already made familiar.
This programme gave me mental models that now sit firmly in my toolkit. It’s not just for one race. It’s a deployable framework for big work events, decision-making, performance under pressure - you name it. I now understand the battles between hyper-focus and hyper-distractibility, between order and disorder. And I have the strategies to navigate them.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Invest in the toolkit that opens all locks - and where the cutting faces never get blunt. You’ll use this long after the finish line. Your colleagues, partner, kids, and future self will all benefit. And let’s be honest - it’s always nice to be popular.
Chris Ward - Spartathlon ultra TOP 150 finisher
“This wasn’t just a race - it was a rehearsal for resilience. Hot conditions, sleep deprivation, distance unknown: and yet, I showed up ready because I'd trained for it mentally as much as physically.”
Sean Warburton, Marathon Runner
“I genuinely feel like I've changed as an athlete. I'm far more aware of the mental preparation required before a race or a tough session - instead of just getting in shape and hoping things go OK. It sounds obvious now, but planning and preparing mentally for a goal race is absolutely vital. I feel more confident about myself and where I want to go next.”
Even outside of sport, I can see how what I’ve learned applies - particularly the idea of planning for different scenarios and how to respond when things don’t go to plan. I still need to practise it, but it makes total sense.
One of the biggest highlights came early in the course: just having a bit more belief and confidence in myself. I stopped focusing on others and started running my race. In shorter distances, techniques like counting, chunking, and even taping helped me push through discomfort. For longer races, it was all about preparation.
Using the training diary really helped. Being able to look back during race week, track scores, and reflect on tune-up races—it made everything more meaningful.
Maybe the biggest surprise was how much impact just paying attention to mental prep had. I was running faster and feeling better—without changing anything in my training. It was like I’d taken the handbrake off. And I know I’ve still got more to give. Berlin showed me that. Heading into spring training now, I’m bringing all that experience with me—and I’m excited to see how far I can push things in April.
Would I recommend this course? Absolutely 100%. I even catch myself passing on things I learned - telling others to go back through their Strava, to relax, to concentrate in the first 10K… tactics I wouldn’t have used myself before. I think for someone running their first marathon, it might be too much too soon - but for athletes chasing a PB with solid experience behind them? No question. This programme delivers.
CAT 3 CYCLIST
"Before this programme, I often struggled when things didn’t go to plan during races. Now, I’m far more likely to dig in and push through instead of backing off. That shift alone has been huge for me as an athlete."
One of the biggest breakthroughs was overcoming intense anxiety around riding in a bunch - something I’d done in the past but lost confidence in. Regaining that confidence was a real turning point, both mentally and emotionally.
The tools we used, like the Practical, Tactical, Psychological plan, helped me organise my thoughts and stay grounded - especially when nerves threatened to take over before a race. I found myself controlling my mindset in the moment more effectively, with intentional focus and clarity that hadn’t been there before.
But the impact didn’t stop at sport. I’ve since used the same mental model to navigate big, high-pressure events at work too. The strategies translate seamlessly into everyday life, especially when it comes to dealing with nerves or performance under pressure.
I’ve learned I’m capable of far more than I realised - and I know there’s still plenty more to unlock. The overall experience of the programme left me better equipped, mentally stronger, and far more self-aware—on and off the race course.
